In the pool and out at all Sam Riley Swim Schools our facilities are second to none. Classes are held indoors in a climate-controlled environment heated to 32 degrees celsius all year round.
Our facilities are purpose-built and have been designed to create the perfect teaching and learning environment for your child.
Keeping your child warm during their classes shouldn't mean that you the parent has to sit in a small hot area. With this in mind we have designed our facilities to be parent friendly as well. Separated air conditioned parent viewing areas that allow you to sit within 1 meter of your child while they participate in their swimming lesson ensures we look after the whole family.

Springwood
Springwood is our brand new purpose built learn-to-swim pool located in the Springwood Hometown Centre at exit 20 right next to the freeway.
The swim school is state of the art with a 25 meter by 6 meter learn-to-swim pool that is 1.2 meters deep. Ledges have been built into this pool to ensure children as young as 15 months of age can walk around safely in the pool enabling them to learn new skills like balance, co-ordination and independance throughout their lesson rather than sitting on the side of the pool.
The pool is heated to 32 degrees celsius all year round and is fully enclosed so that your child stays warm all year round.

We also have heated change rooms within the pool area to ensure you and your child stay warm until you are dry and ready to go home. The conveniently located male, female and disabled change rooms are clean and provide hot showers, toilets, baby change tables and plenty of space to get changed.
We also sell an extensive range of swim gear at our swim shop that can be professionally fitted by our trained team and refreshments are available at our kiosk.
McDowall
Our McDowall centre is approximately 15 minutes north of Brisbane city and is part of the NorthWest Plaza Shopping Centre just off Old Northern Road in Flockton Street.
The swim school is state of the art with a 20 meter by 12 meter learn-to-swim pool that is 1.2 meters deep. Ledges have been built into this pool to ensure children as young as 15 months of age can walk around safely in the pool enabling them to learn new skills like balance, co-ordination and independance throughout their lesson rather than sitting on the side of the pool.

As a new service to our clients we also offer child supervision on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday mornings between 8.30 am and 11.30am.
Alexandra Hills
Our very first Sam Riley Swim School, Alexandra Hills is approximately 25 minutes south east of Brisbane City. The swim school is situated within a Fitness Centre (GoodLife Health Clubs) and is surrounded by sporting fields, high school and TAFE College.
The swim school has an indoor 20 meter by 16 meter learn-to-swim pool that is 1 meter deep. Ledges have been built into this pool to ensure children as young as 15 months of age can walk around safely in the pool enabling them to learn new skills like balance, co-ordination and independance throughout their lesson rather than sitting on the side of the pool.
The indoor pool is heated to 32 degrees celsius all year round and is enclosed by a 25 meter by 25 meter structure with clear sides that offers a bright open feel, but still ensuring it is always warm during winter. The pool has a large fenced off parents seating area down two sides of the pool that enables parents to sit within 1 meter of their child and watch their children's swimming lesson.
The swim school also includes an outdoor 30 meter by 8 lane squad training pool that is used during summer. The pool varies in depth from 1 meter to 3 meters at the diving end.
We have a secure children's play area with toys and games, baby change tables on pool deck within the warm environment and a range of swim gear is available from our swim shop.
The centre provides the following services to our members:

- A range of refreshments
- Child minding is available Monday to Saturday mornings and Thursday afternoons ($1.00 per hour for maximum of 2 hours - see us for times).
